Mold and Mildew Removal - Consulting

Those living in a humid climate need to check their attic and basement each time it rains. In case you have a leak there will be a collection of water in a space that does not get enough sunlight or air. Where there is no sun light and air, mold and mildew can settle and begin to grow. Mold is a fungus and also a decomposer. It lives on organic things, so chances are that your drywall may also get infected with mold. Certain molds can also cause lung and liver cancer.

Check the attic and basement walls carefully, look for brown or black discolorations. It is also a good idea to keep everything away from the walls. Make sure no one goes to the attic or the basement with any food or drink, because places infected with mold are not the healthiest of places. In case, you store your old things in the attic or your kids are using it for some reason, it is always a good idea to make it a safe place for them to spend time at.

Most homeowners neglect their basement while others use it in one way or another. It's a good idea to get some basement waterproofing and set it up for usage on a regular basis. Why not move the pool table or the poker tables down in the basement? If it's a large space add some sofas and a TV also.

Illuminate with adequate lights and keep it dry. In towns and cities where the humidity level is high, it is always a good idea to get a de-humidifier. A dehumidifier will prevent mold from forming in your basement. Check your washrooms for mold and mildew and get some experts to remove it for you.
